Love & Beyond is a community outreach event with intentions of bringing awareness to the needs of Vancouver's less fortunate that took place at Oppenheimer Park on July 27th.   

The Hare Krishna temple from Burnaby had organized a whole day festival where amazing vegetarian feast, free yoga by Karma Yoga and meditational music was offered.

The most popular tent was run by another non-profit group called Beauty Nights, were manicure, massage and free haircut was doled out.   Free toiletry like toothbrush, hair comb and small tubes of toothpaste were also given out at the gift tent.  This event was extremely well received by the local residents, many of whom were homeless from the Downtown Eastside.  It wasn’t just the music, yoga and free food, but the personal attention and genuine friendship offered that was appreciated.
